The 13×75 mm ESR tube is specially used for blood collection and anticoagulation in automated erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) analyzers for the Westergren method of sedimentation rate testing, with a mixing ratio of 1 part sodium citrate to 4 parts blood.
